In today's Sunday video, we'll be returning to the wrecks of the High Seas Fleet. Focusing, today, on SMS Derfflinger. The last of the major warships to be salvaged, and an interesting case.
Namely because she was raised in August of 1939. Leading to the ship only being scrapped in 1948. Which, since she capsized, means Derfflinger spent more time upside down than upright.
Her salvage was also a difficult one, as a deep wreck in the 1930s.
We'll be looking at that, in this video.
