VEGAN GINGERBREAD MEN - lower fat, simple recipe

ingredients
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup vegan butter (you could possibly omit this, but it's christmas. I used tesco free-from soya spread which is non-hydrogenated - http://bit.ly/plantbasedjudy)
1/2 cup applesauce
3 tbsp aquafaba (juice from can of chickpeas. brilliant egg replacer. you can't taste it!!)
1 tbsp molasses
1/3 cup golden syrup
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger
1/4tsp cloves
1/2 tsp allspice
6+ cups flour (I used a mix of wholemeal/white spelt)

for the icing I used tesco vanilla cake frosting which is accidentally vegan and very delicious. here's a recipe if you want to make your own: 1tbsp soya milk to 1 cup powdered sugar
