Going Inside This Unbelievable Abandoned Hot Springs Resort & Strange Desert Ghost Town In Nevada

I find an abandoned hot springs in Nevada, as well as explore the Contact Nevada ghost town and a few other roadside attractions.

History:
Contact, Nevada, originated as a mining camp in the early 1900s, during a boom sparked by the discovery of gold, silver, and copper in northeastern Elko County. By 1915, it had a post office, hotel, saloons, and a small but growing population. Mining corporations like the Contact Mining Company brought in investors and workers, and the town looked promising.

However, the mines never lived up to their expectations. Ore veins were inconsistent, and as richer strikes were found elsewhere, people began leaving. A devastating fire in 1942 destroyed much of the town, and it was never rebuilt.

Contact still has a small handful of residents, mostly employees of the Nevada Department of Transportation who work at the Contact Maintenance Station.
