There are 3 Mindfulness “how” skills. That is, how do we do mindfulness. They are: Nonjudgmentally, One-Mindfully and Effectively. In this video, we discuss the skill One-Mindfully.
When we are One-Mindful, we are completely present in this one moment; do one thing at a time. If other thoughts, actions, or strong feelings distract you, go back to what you were doing – again and again and again.
If you find you are doing two things at once, stop, and go back to one thing at a time. This is monotasking, the opposite of multitasking! Focusing on one thing at a time takes less time than doing a combination of two things at the same time.
In this video, we go into more detail on how monotasking is more efficient than multitasking, and how utilizing this skill can help manage stress and emotions. One-Mindfully means doing one thing at a time and being fully in this moment.
