On Friday evening, officers with Riverside Police Department and firefighter paramedics with The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of a shooting in a shopping center parking lot located in the 6100 block of Van Buren Boulevard in Riverside. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Firefighter-paramedics provided medical aid at the scene before he was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them. The incident remains under investigation.
