43082 & 43073 Running day at the Colne Valley Railway | 125 Heritage | 29/12/2024

In this video I head trackside to test my new camera to cover our last running day of the 2024 seasson with the HSTs. I have recently purchased a new camcorder and our last running day proved a good oppertunity to test it out. We hope you enjoy a varity of lineside shots from both ends of the Colne Valley Railway with some classic VP185 traction.

Unfortunately the Camera's onboard microphone appears to be extremly sensitive and has picked me up breathing behind the camera so I apolgise for that a new microphone is on the way!

Thank you all for supporting us at 125 Heritage and Colne Valley this year we hope to have another successful operational year in 2025. I plan to make more films in the new year the camera and hopefully a new microphone. It has took a bit of getting used to using a camcorder again. I also utilised my Drone to capture some birds eye shots of our running set going up and down the line. Sadly we were greeted with some grey dull cold condtions for filming.

About Us at 125 Heritage : 125 Heritage are a group of volunteers based at the Colne Valley Railway in Essex. We are passionate about the Inter-city 125 vehicles and the iconic power cars. These were built in the late 1970’s and are credited with saving British Rail who at the time had a bad reputation. They were a marvel of British engineering but their time has finally come for them to retire.
Our aim is to preserve and maintain a small fleet of ex British Rail Inter-City 125 vehicles for use at the railway. The vehicles will be used for dining and special running days. The vehicles are air conditioned and there is a full kitchen vehicle which will provide a unique experience for visitors.
