Sketching with Unconventional Tools

Inspired by our latest play session at #sketchingplaylab I tried sketching a corner shophouse with just unconventional tools like my toothbrush, pipet, twig & plastic card. Great way to warmup and start the day with lots of inspiration. Using unconventional tools can also combat our reliance on just the familiar pen, pencil & brush. We adapt very quickly to routines and repetition can be a kill joy to our creativity too.

Don’t bring your whole kitchen to the page but instead start with just 1 unusual tool if you are new to this. Experiment and see how you can bring the best out of an insignificant object.
