Cake:
4 Eggs (medium size)
Butter 200g (salted)
Plain Flour 225g (1 ½ cups)
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Sugar 180g (¾ cup, 2 tablespoons)
Caramel sauce about 2 tablespoons
Easy ganache:
White Chocolate 100g
Heavy cream 80ml (⅓ cup)
Caramel sauce 2-3 tablespoons
You can get readymade Caramel sauce
Or
Make your own at home.
Caramel sauce:
Butter 30g (2 tbsp)
Heavy cream 80ml (⅓ cup)
Sugar 100g (½ cup)
Chocolate sprinkles
Measuring cup size - 240ml
Baking pan 20x20 cm (8x8 inch)
Method:
Mix flour, baking powder and sugar in a bigger bowl.
Add the eggs, butter, and the caramel sauce.
Whisk at low speed for about 20-30 seconds.
Give it a mix.
Whisk again for about 20-30 seconds
Give a final mix.
Add the batter into the lined baking pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 175c (350f) for about 30-35 minutes.
Make the ganache:
Microwave, white chocolate and heavy cream for about 1 minute.
Mix well and add the caramel sauce.
Mix again and set aside until the cake is done.
Caramel sauce (Homemade);
Caramelise the sugar over medium heat.
Add the butter and mix well.
When the butter melts, add the cream.
Turn off the heat and stir well.
Cook for another minute with residual heat.
Pour into a bowl.
Take the cake out when it is done.
Poke holes in the cake.
Pour the ganache into the warm cake.
Add the sprinkles.
Enjoy Warm or cold!
