This ultra moist chocolate cake is soft, rich, and deeply chocolatey. The warm cake is soaked with a smooth chocolate sauce, making every bite incredibly tender and flavorful. A perfect dessert for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
Cake Batter:
3 eggs (cold)
200g sugar (1 cup)
½ tsp vanilla
160g oil (2/3 cup)
220g milk (1 cup, room temperature)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
320g all-purpose flour (2½ cups)
2 tsp baking powder
Chocolate Sauce:
440g milk (2 cups)
2–3 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp sugar
30g chocolate (optional)
1. Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla until light, creamy, and fluffy.
2. Add oil and milk, then mix until fully combined.
3. Sift cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder together and gently fold into the batter.
4. Mix a small amount of flour and liquid oil together and use it to grease the cake pan thoroughly.
5. Pour the batter into a 22cm round pan or a 25cm bundt pan.
6. Bake at 170°C (338°F) for about 40 minutes.
7. Let the cake cool completely.
8. Pour the hot chocolate sauce over the cold cake.
9. Refrigerate the cake for 1 hour before serving for the best texture and flavor.
