The primary purpose of state-licensed occupations is to ensure public health and safety. While some research suggests that certain requirements can be burdensome, there is limited data-driven evidence on the relationship between occupational licensing and job requirements. Attendees joined us to learn about the HRRI-sponsored study that aims to build evidence on the linkages between licensing requirements, public/patient safety, and specific job requirements in physical therapy.
