Salt Lake City in December | Layers, Quiet, and Holiday Reflection

After a snowy, storybook day in Park City, we drove just 30 minutes to Salt Lake City — and stepped into a completely different feeling.
We spent only 24 hours in Salt Lake City during December, but it was enough to leave a lasting impression. Not loud or flashy, but layered, intentional, and quietly meaningful.
In this video, I share our short itinerary — from Temple Square and its Christmas lights, to hidden local gems, thoughtful food, strong coffee, and a quiet moment by the Great Salt Lake.
I came looking for holiday cheer — twinkle lights, coziness, that familiar feeling we associate with the season. What I found instead was something deeper: presence, community, and a different understanding of what Christmas means here.
This was my “get into the holiday spirit” getaway, part two — and Salt Lake City surprised me in ways I didn’t expect.
