Switch your training up every few weeks. This workout can help:
Provide a challenge/hit those slow twitch muscles – working in different set and rep ranges encourage progress. This workout is faster-paced, so it's a great change from straight sets, supersets, and/or from lifting heavy. Higher reps means hitting more slow-twitch muscles, which can be neglected when primarily training for strength and with low reps.
Break through plateaus – the circuits mix training up enough to break through plateaus. So, if you're stalling with your current routine, give this a try (and workouts like this) for a week to 10 days!
Benefits of weights and cardio in one – you'll get your heart rate up while training your legs. This saves time, and can also keep you from having to do cardio!
With a few tweaks, this workout can be done from home. Just swap out the leg press for dumbbell squats or sumo squats and do dumbbell calf raises on a step :)
