Ready for a magical monsoon escape? In this video, we take you on a mesmerizing early morning road trip from Mumbai to Lonavala — right in the heart of the monsoon season! Starting off at 5:30 AM in heavy rains, we hit the road and reach Lonavala by 7 AM — just in time to witness nature at its raw, foggy, and beautiful best. 😍

🚗 Epic Road Trip Begins
We started our drive sharp at 5:30 AM from Mumbai, with rain pouring down and the skies still dark. Took NH 48 via Khopoli, passing through Khandala Ghat (Bhor Ghat) — and what a scenic drive it was! Fog, twisty roads, and barely any traffic made for a surreal experience.

🌫️ Mystical Fog & Rainy Weather
By 7 AM, we were surrounded by thick fog, cool breeze, and light showers — Lonavala’s signature monsoon mood. If you're wondering whether Lonavala is open, the answer is YES! And it’s absolutely worth visiting right now, especially in the early mornings.

🏞️ Lonavala Lake & Surroundings
We stopped by a stunning view of Lonavala Lake, which looked like something straight out of a movie. The mist rolling over the water, rain-kissed greenery, and peaceful surroundings made it a moment to remember.

🌧️ Got Soaked — and Loved It!
We couldn’t resist stepping out of the car to feel the rain. No umbrellas. Just pure monsoon joy. So yes, you might get wet — and trust us, it's totally worth it.

🛣️ How Are the Road Conditions to Lonavala?
Route Taken: NH 48 → Khopoli → Khandala Ghat → Lonavala
Road Conditions: Mostly smooth and well-maintained, but slippery in patches due to continuous rain. Drive slow, use fog lights, and avoid sudden braking.
Traffic: Almost empty early in the morning. Perfect for a peaceful drive.
Toll Booths: Carry cash or FASTag for a smooth experience.

Rain: Moderate to heavy, especially early mornings and evenings
Temperature: Pleasant, around 22–25°C
Visibility: Reduced in foggy areas — so drive with caution!
