Old Fashioned Tomato Pudding

14 oz can of crushed tomatoes, puree, or diced tomatoes, I used a quart.
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
4 cups of cubed bread
2 tsp vanilla
3 tsp of cinnamon
Salt &pepper to taste
1 1/2 stick butter


Preheat oven to 375°. Cube about 10 slices of bread, I cut the ends off. Pour on stock of melted butter over bread in a pan, then mix remaining ingredients well and pour over bread. Press down in pan, top with pats of butter, bake 45-50 min until crispy edges and a bit firm, will still be somewhat soft. Let rest for 10 min.
