Ingredients:
For Dahi Mixture:
½ cup yogurt (dahi)
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
¼–½ tsp salt (as taste)
1–2 tbsp water (if needed to adjust consistency)

For Imli (Tamarind) Mixture:
½ cup imli juice
⅓ cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black salt
For Chana Chaat Base
1 cup boiled chickpeas (chane)
1 boiled potato (cubed)
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp regular salt (adjust to taste)
1 tsp cumin powder (zeera powder)
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp chaat masala

For Assembling:
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1 chopped cucumber
1 chopped green chilli
Fresh coriander (optional)
Papri or sev (as required)

Method / Directions
Step 1: Prepare Dahi Mixture
In a bowl add:
½ cup yogurt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
¼–½ tsp salt
Mix well until smooth. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare Imli Mixture
In another bowl add:
½ cup imli juice
⅓ cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black salt
Mix well until sugar dissolves. Set aside.
Step 3: Prepare Chana Base
Take a bowl and add:
Boiled chane
Boiled potato cubes
Add spices:
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp regular salt
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp chaat masala
Mix everything well.
Step 4: Assemble the Chaat
In serving plate/bowl add chana mixture.
Top with:
Chopped onion
Tomato
Cucumber
Green chilli
Pour dahi mixture and imli mixture.
Mix lightly.
Add papri/sev on top.
Garnish with coriander and serve immediately.
Your Chana Chaat is Ready!
