Bionic Booster Pack Test Run! Part 1: Time To Chip In (ONI: Spaced Out!)

This VOD is the first part of my Ceres Moonlets playthrough with the new Bionic Booster Pack DLC for Oxygen Not Included! Bionic dupes are now available, who have wildly different needs and behaviours from usual dupes, which makes them better in some circumstances and worse in others. In this video, we use a Bionic digger to explore some CO2 pits as they only need to breathe every few cycles, but we quickly learn that maintenance for Bionic dupes will not be trivial. After setting up an initial rickety base, we explore the rest of the starting asteroid and grab a frozen friend from the Nectar moonlet so that we can formulate a plan for future base development. Biobots may also be helpful for initial development. We find Natural Gas Geyser and Polluted Water vents, so it seems likely that we can set up a warm initial base for the duplicants this time. This DLC adds new a new duplicant type with drastically different traits and behaviours to normal dupes, as well as some supporting technology. Aims for this run are to figure out how to most efficiently use all of the DLC content and particularly to use these Bionic dupes to try and explore some more of the late game content we haven't gotten around to yet.
