Douglas C-47A Skytrain "That's all, Brother" Comes to Cambridge Airport

A truly iconic moment here with this lovely C-47A at Cambridge Airport flying the US Ambassador aboard for a pleasure flight. That's all, Brother was the lead aircraft 75 years ago during the allied airborne assault on Normandy and some 75 years later she has returned to the UK ahead of the "Daks over Normandy" celebrations next week, yesterday she positioned into Cambridge to fly a D-Day veteran and the US Ambassador on a pleasure flight over Cambridgeshire much to the delight of the Cambridge spotters. We see her return from her sortie and then depart for nearby Duxford where she will join over 30 other DC-3/C-47 examples from all over the world for a massive commemoration of what is still the biggest invasion in history. We owe a lot to the C-47s and indeed their brave former crews, so many of whom never lived to tell the tail.
