I discovered this completely by accident... When you jump rope on incline surfaces, the teardrop muscle (the muscles above the knee - apparently called vastus medialis) work harder - this will develop the 'teardrop muscle' that a lot of athletes have, most commonly you'll see this muscle highly developed in footballers' legs.
