During this video, we demonstrate a series of gentle exercises commonly introduced in the early phase of rehabilitation following an Achilles tendon rupture. Whether your injury is managed surgically or non-operatively, this phase typically begins around 2–4 weeks post-injury, depending on your surgeon or physiotherapist’s guidance. The goal here is to activate the surrounding leg and ankle muscles, prevent overall lower-extremity weakness caused by reduced activity, and introduce very light ankle mobility without placing excessive tension on the Achilles tendon.
