This presentation will explore the results of an innovative approach to revising courses and their assessment strategies using alternative approaches. Learn how 19 "Innovative Faculty Fellows" were funded to revise their courses using any or a combination of the following approaches:
flipped classroom, gameful (additive) grading scenario/role playing, and immersive/embodied or other approaches to alternative assessment. Some of the classes involved had more than 50 students. The results of the initiative for those classes in terms of what faculty did, what students said about the experience, and faculty reflections about the experience will be shared.
