【三重／内宮別宮】瀧原宮／伊勢神宮正宮に次ぐ格式の別宮 - Takihara-no-miya in MIE, JAPAN

瀧原宮（たきはらのみや）は、三重県度会郡大紀町にある内宮の別宮。
御祭神は天照坐皇大御神御魂（あまてらしますすめおおみかみのみたま）。
対となる別宮である瀧原竝宮（たきはらならびのみや）が並立している。
内宮に天照大神を別宮荒祭宮に天照大神の荒御魂を奉祀する関係と同じように、瀧原宮は天照皇大御神の和魂（にぎみたま）、瀧原竝宮は天照皇大御神の荒魂（あらみたま）を祀る。
瀧原宮は、伊勢市を流れる宮川の河口より約40km上流に鎮座する。
瀧原宮は、山を背後に南面し、前方に川が東から西へ流れ内宮の雛型とする説がある。
瀧原宮の、起源は約2000年前に遡る。
倭姫命が内宮よりも先に天照大御神を祀った場所という伝承が残る。
第11代垂仁天皇の皇女倭姫命が、宮川下流の磯宮（いそのみや）より天照大神を祀る地を探し上流へ遡ると、この地に「大河の瀧原の国」という美しい場所を見つけ新宮を建てた。
しかし、天照皇大神の神意によって、現在の内宮の地へ新宮を建てたため、瀧原宮は、天照坐皇大御神御魂を祀る別宮となった。
なお天照大神を過去に祀った場所を元伊勢と呼ぶが、別宮とされたのは瀧原宮だけである。
伊勢各地に点在する数ある宮社の中でも瀧原宮が内宮の作りと類似することから特別視されている。
厳かな雰囲気が漂う長い参道、参道脇を流れる清流。境内周辺を深い森が覆い、凜とした空気が境内を包み、正宮に劣らぬ神々しさを感じられる。

Takihara-no-miya is a branch shrine of the Uchimiya in Taiki-cho, Watarai-gun, Mie Prefecture.
The deity is Amaterasimasu-sume-Oomikami no Mitama.
There is a pair of separate shrines, Takihara-narabinomiya and Takihara-narabinomiya, which stand side by side.
In the same way that Amaterasu is enshrined in the Inner Shrine and Amaterasu's spirit is enshrined in the branch shrine Aramatsuri-no-miya, Takihara-no-Miya enshrines Amaterasu's spirit of harmony, while Takihara-no-Miya enshrines Amaterasu's spirit of araomitama.
Takihara-no-Miya Shrine is located approximately 40 km upstream from the mouth of the Miya River, which flows through Ise City.
Takihara-no-miya faces south with a mountain behind it, and the river flows from east to west in front of it, which some believe is the model for the Inner Shrine.
The origin of Takihara-no-Miya dates back about 2,000 years.
There is a legend that the main shrine was the place where Yamatohime enshrined Amaterasu Omikami before the Inner Shrine.
Princess Yamahime-no-Mikoto, the princess of the 11th Emperor Taruhito, went upstream from Isonomiya on the lower reaches of the Miya River in search of a place to worship Amaterasu, and found a beautiful place here called “Takihara-no-Kuni on the Great River” and built a new palace there.
However, according to the divine will of Amaterasu, a new shrine was built at the present site of the Inner Shrine, and Takihara no Miya became a separate shrine enshrining the spirit of Amaterasu no Mikoto.
The place where Amaterasu was enshrined in the past is called Motoise, but only Takihara-no-miya was designated as a branch shrine.
Among the many palaces and shrines scattered throughout Ise, Takihara-no-miya is considered special because of its similarity to the Inner Shrine.
The long approach to the shrine is austere and solemn, and a clear stream flows along the side of approach. A deep forest surrounds the precincts of the shrine, enveloping the area with an interesting atmosphere that is no less divine than that of the main shrine.
