The BEST Goan Pork Sausage Chilli Fry | Choris Chilli Fry | Pork Chorizo Recipe | Chouriço Chilli Fry


This is a simple and delicious stir fry. Every Goan knows the delicious pork sausage or choris. In Goa, Chorizo Chilli Fry is probably one of the most ordered dishes at beach shacks and restaurants.

Chorizo is a mixture of chopped pork meat, pork fat, salt, whole pepper grains, cinnamon, achiote, and other spices, which produce its characteristic deep red color. It has a slight smoky flavor which makes the dish very flavorful. Chouriço de Goa- Goa Pork Sausages are probably the best pork item India has produced. They are made by curing local pork meat. In the curing process the meat is salted, dried and smoked. The toddy vinegar and spices added create the magical flavor for which the sausages are famed.

Ingredients :

50 beads (350 gms) Pork Sausage (Chorizo) - please discard the thread and outer casing of the sausage.
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 medium (200 gms) Onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped)
1 tbsp Garlic (finely chopped)
1 medium (60 gms) Tomato (finely chopped)
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
1 Green Capsicum (Bell Pepper) - cut into strips
2 nos. Green Chillies (sliced diagonally)
A handful of Coriander Leaves


Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
