It would seem that there are no end to variations on tomato sandwiches. For example, today’s sandwich, the Tomato Sandwich from “Festive Foods” by the Milwaukee Gas Light Company in 1959 has us flavoring the mayonnaise. Which I do not hate at all. Just not something I’ve seen in the myriad of other tomato sandwich recipes.
