साहित्य | Ingredients
• हरभरा डाळ १ कप | Chana Daal 1 Cup
• आलं १ इंच | Ginger 1 inch
• हिरव्या मिरच्या ४-५ | Green chilies 4-5
फोडणीसाठी | Fodani sathi
• तेल ४ टेबलस्पून | Oil 4tbsp
• मोहरी १ टीस्पून | Mustard Sees 1tsp
• हिंग १/४ टीस्पून | Asafoetida ¼ tsp
• कढीलिंब १०-१२ | Curry leaves 10-12
• हळद १/२ टीस्पून | Turmeric ½ tsp
• मीठ चवीनुसार | Salt to taste
How to make vatali dal recipe |
• Wash and soak chana dal for 4-5 hrs
• Drain out the excess water from soaked dal
• Take the soaked dal into a grinding jar, to this add ginger & green chiles & grind on pulse mode to coarse texture
• Take this ground dal into a pressure cooker container
• At the bottom of the pressure put some water, wire stand & onto the stand put the container, cover the container with a lid, close the pressure cooker lid & take 3 whistles
• Once the done, take the cooked dal out, allow it to cool down completely
• Once dala comes at room temp, break all the lumps formed
• Into a kadhai, heat up oil, once oil is hot add mustard seeds, allow it to crackle then add hing, curry leaves & turmeric
• To this add dal mixture, salt to taste & saute on low flame for 4-5 mins
• garnish with fresh chopped coriander
