Breaking News | Firing Outside Immigration Centre on Jail Road, Gurdaspur | CCTV Video Surfaces

A firing incident has been reported outside Aussi Hub Immigration Centre, located on Jail Road in Gurdaspur, after two motorcycle-borne youths opened fire late at night. A CCTV video of the incident has also surfaced, creating panic in the area.

According to information, the attackers fired two rounds outside the immigration centre and fled the spot. Police recovered two empty shells from the scene. It is important to note that the owner of the immigration centre had received extortion calls a few days earlier and is currently residing in Australia.

Senior police officials immediately reached the spot and began an investigation. SP DK Chaudhary, who visited the crime scene, stated that police received information about firing outside the immigration centre and promptly started inquiries.

He confirmed that a CCTV clip shows one youth running away while another remains seated on a motorcycle. Preliminary investigation suggests that the firing was done using an air gun to intimidate the owner, though the empty shells recovered appear old. Despite this, police are examining all aspects of the case seriously.

SP DK Chaudhary further revealed that due to earlier extortion threats, PCR police personnel had been deployed outside the centre. However, the owner later requested their removal, citing business losses, after which the PCR staff was withdrawn.

Police have assured that the matter is being investigated thoroughly, and all technical and forensic evidence is being examined to identify and arrest the culprits.
