I focus on a high-protein, high-fiber, and anti-inflammatory approach as someone who is recovering from PCOS, autoimmune disease, and chronic migraines. My real food diet is probably best described as a paleo approach about 80% of the time.
It’s my lifelong challenge to recover from poor childhood eating habits and the Standard American Diet. I see a functional medicine doctor who has convinced me that following an ancestral-type approach that is gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, and dairy-free is likely the best way for most of us to eat.
