ingredients
Carrot - 2 nos
Urad Dal - 1/4 cup
Rice - 1 1/2 cup
Fennugreek seed - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 or 2 tsp
Oil - 1 or 2 tsp
Method
Take a bowl add urad dal and rice .
Add water and soak them well .
Drain and set aside.
Then grinded them well to form a smooth batter.
Set a side and fermented them well.
Then peeled the carrot and wash them well.
Grated the carrot and set aside.
Then grinded the grated carrot into fine paste and set aside.
Take a bowl add batter and grinded carrot paste.
Then add salts and mix them well.
Heat water in a steamer .
Take a idli cooking plate pour little amount of oil and spred them well.
Then pour the batter on to the idli plate and placed the steamer .
cook them well for 9 to 10 minutes .
Remove the steamer lid and check wheather the idali is well cooked or not.
Ones it is well cooked remove from the steamer and remove the idli from the plate
Serve the tasty carrot idli with coconut chutney
