David Dean - Bye Bye Baby Goobye (12" Maxi & 7" Singles) (France, 1985) (Italo-Disco)

A superb, bright mid-80s Italo-Disco gem. Although there are many uploads of the song, I thought I'd compile a "suite" with rips of both the 12" and 7" singles.

Produced and arranged by acclaimed French producer and composer, Jacques Morali (RIP) and his music partner, Henri Belolo (RIP), also a well-known French music executive, producer and composer credited as the executive producer. The song was written by Belolo and Frank Hudon, who frequently worked with Jacques and Henri. Furthermore, arrangement credits go to Didier and Erwan Egea. I came across an interesting tidbit: One of the assistant engineers, as credited on the French release, was Philippe Colonna, who later got involved in recordings with Vangelis. The single was recorded and mixed at Studio Damiens in Paris, presumably in 1985.

Special thanks are given to Stefano Scalera, Pierangelo Mauri, Silver Pozzoli, Romano Bais, Mark Sabiu and Freddy Naggiar, all of whom are Italian artists, producers and composers, so I'm assuming they all have some involvement, either directly or indirectly, to this single release.

Absolutely no info on David Dean as an artist, which leads me to believe, however, I cannot confirm this, that this is in fact a recording project with a "hidden" vocalist and cover image model, but I could very well be wrong. This was much more common a practice in Italy than in France, but still not impossible. If you have any information about David Dean, please share it, I'd really appreciate it.

(The B-side of the 7" is the same instrumental version as the 12" one, so I added an HQ filtered instrumental of the 7" vocal version as a bonus.)
