Hi, and welcome to my channel. I am just two days away from my DCIS breast cancer surgery. I've had my preop appointments with both the breast cancer surgeon and the plastic surgeon this past week. I wanted to make a video catching you up and letting you know that if you see this video, then I have successfully made it to surgery. It has been a whirlwind since my routine mammogram detected calcifications back on May 16th, 2025, and now the surgery date has arrived.
While I am recovering, I plan on making several videos sharing my journey so far with DCIS Intermediate as well as my recovery from a partial mastectomy with flap reconstruction. I will be having radiation treatments at some point in the near future, and I would like to document that experience, too.
I share some video clips from different a couple of different activities over the last 4 days leading up to surgery, and even a few video clips from a walk down by Point Woronzof here in Anchorage, Alaska. I even see a bear while out and about!
I can't thank everyone enough for their love and support since I got the diagnosis. I am one blessed lady and truly am touched and inspired by the love that has come my way.
