Abstract
The optical response of CrSBr bilayers is determined by excitons, which, as preliminary analysis shows, can be described within the Wannier-Mott model. In the presence of doping, charged excitons - trions are formed. We present the results of a theoretical study of excitons and trions in one- and two-layer structures with a highly anisotropic effective mass. To describe the interaction between charge carriers, both the Coulomb potential and the potential self-consistently taking into account the dielectric screening were used. Calculations were performed both by the variational method and by direct numerical diagonalization of the Hamiltonian. For different parameters of the anisotropy of the effective mass, the dependences of the binding energies of spatially indirect excitons and trions on the interlayer distance were obtained. With increasing anisotropy of the effective masses, the binding energies of spatially indirect excitons and trions become sharper functions of the interlayer distance. For a two-layer structure with CrSBr parameters, the dependences of the binding energies of spatially indirect excitons and trions on the interlayer distance were calculated, which quite adequately describes the experimental data.
