EXTREMELY LEMONY Hot Cross Buns Recipe 🍋🍋🍋

Welcome to this weeks video where we will be remaking the M&S Extremely Lemony Hot Cross Buns BUT with added delicious ingredients to make this the ULTIMATE EXTREMELY LEMONY Hot Cross Buns.

Ingredients

Bun
7g Yeast
3/4 cups Warm Milk
2 1/4 cups Bread Flour (Additional Flour for kneading)
1tsp Salt
60g Sugar
25g Butter
1 egg (2 small eggs)
Jar of Lemon Curd

Lemon Curd (From Fresh)

2 Lemons Zest and Juice
100g Caster Sugar
50g Butter
2 Eggs
[Put the lemon zest, juice, sugar and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. Stir occasionally until the butter has melted. Then, using a small whisk or fork, stir in the beaten egg. Keep gently whisking the mixture over the heat for around 10 mins until thickened like custard.]

Cross
50g Plain Flour
2-3 tbsp Water
1 tbsp Lemon Curd

Glaze
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Honey
Zest of 1 lemon
