Carin Taylor, a longtime resident of Santa Clara County, shares her deeply personal story of receiving life-saving care at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center during a high-risk pregnancy. Her premature labor at 25 weeks unexpectedly brought her to SCVMC, where she found “the best doctors, the best nurses, the best care.” That care meant everything, especially during her family’s most critical moment.
The County of Santa Clara Health System is the region’s health care safety net, delivering high-quality services to everyone regardless of insurance or ability to pay. This system includes four acute care hospitals: SCVMC, O’Connor Hospital, Regional Medical Center and St. Louise Regional Hospital, alongside 15 Valley Health Center clinics across the county.
