Power Factor and Efficiency in AC Circuits (Full Lecture)

In this lesson we'll examine power factor and efficiency in AC circuits. We'll learn power factor concerns itself solely with the conversion of apparent to real power and efficiency concerns itself solely with the transfer of real power through the system. Additionally, we'll examine scenarios in which there is a degree of overlap between power factor and efficiency and how these properties can influence each other as well as other circuit properties. Finally, we'll have a preliminary discussion about power factor correction. (Full Lecture)
