500 grams beef sukiyaki cut
salt and pepper
cooking oil
1 medium carrot, diced
1 medium potato, diced
1 onion, sliced
1 tbsp butter
2 cups water
92 grams Japanese curry cubes
1 tbsp honey
salt or soy sauce to taste
1. In a skillet, add a bit of cooking oil. Add the beef, season with salt and pepper. Sear until brown and most of the fat and liquid is rendered. remove from pan and discard the fat.
2. On the same pan, add cooking oil. Fry the carrots and potato until slightly toasted. Add the onion and butter. Sauté until the onion is caramelized.
3. Pour the water. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Add the curry cubes, simmer while mixing until completely dissolved. Add a tbsp of honey and mix.
5. Finally add the cooked beef and mix. Season with salt or soy sauce to taste.
6. Serve over cooked rice and enjoy!
