Frank Dernie spent 33 years in Formula One with Hesketh, Williams, Benetton, Ligier, Arrows and Toyota in leading engineering positions.
He was behind some of the key innovations particularly during his time with Williams, e.g. optimising aerodynamics in a wind tunnel, active suspension or the use of CFD.
