Between sensations (what our senses record) and perceptions (how we interpret sensory data) lie several kinds of filters: culture (mainly language and customs), family traditions, gender biases and individual personality. These lead to all kinds of prejudices and blindness. Today’s homily examines this phenomenon and how to go beyond it.

Fr. Seán ÓLaoire, PhD was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1972 and is Spiritual Director of Companions on the Journey, a community which seeks to recognize the God / divinity within each and all of us.
