S1 E20: Breaking Point on hardest day: Overheating, No Water & Stuck in the Jungle!

We are Maddi & Oli, world travelers from Australia, riding two-up on our Triumph Tiger across the globe. 🏍️🌍 Through our lens, we share the highs and lows of this crazy adventure—and this episode is definitely one of the most adventurous ones.
What started as an optimistic ride north to Thakhek quickly turned into a brutal challenge of endurance and patience. The plan? Cover some serious ground and push further into Laos. The reality? One of the toughest days on the road we've ever faced.
From the get-go, things didn’t feel right. The heat was suffocating, with absolutely no breeze. The humidity was insane, and within minutes, we were sweating buckets inside our motorcycle gear. But we weren’t the only ones struggling—Tilly, our Triumph Tiger, was overheating too.
The off-road terrain made things even worse, pushing the bike (and us) to our limits. We stopped again and again, trying to cool Tilly down. Each time, she would get too hot to keep going, forcing us to stop longer and longer. And soon, we ran into another problem—we had used almost all our drinking water just to cool her down.
With no way to cool ourselves down and dehydration kicking in, we started to feel the effects. Exhaustion set in, and frustration turned into real concern. Would we even make it out of here today?
This was our breaking point.
