I ran 1,223 miles this year — the most I’ve ever run in my life.
Two years ago, I ruptured my Achilles tendon. At the time, I could barely jog 3 miles at an 11-minute pace. Fast forward to now: I’ve dropped my marathon from 6 hours to 3:20, and I’m chasing a sub-3.
In this video, I share the 6 biggest lessons I learned from running over 1,200 miles as a 200lb runner.
These lessons cover injury prevention, mindset, training structure, easy vs hard miles, and how running has shaped my lifestyle.
Whether you’re just starting your running journey, chasing your first marathon, or trying to avoid burnout and injury, I hope my story helps you keep pushing forward.
