If you've been lucky enough to grow and harvest your own ginger at home (or if not - have some to hand) then why not brew your own traditional ginger beer?
Recipe:
450g sugar
4.5L of water
1 unwaxed lemon
40g root ginger
25g cream of tatar
11g brewers yeast
