This is flight 22 of 28 from my recent trip to Europe. In May, I set out to fly to as many places in Europe as possible, while also flying on as many different airlines and aircraft types as possible. Over a 14 day period I flew on 19 airlines, 21 aircraft types, 30 total flights, all while covering over 31,000 miles. In the end I visited 14 different countries throughout the journey. Over the next few weeks I'll be posting the flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey, exactly as I did! Flight 22 Fun Fact – This is more of a fun story than a fun fact, but I thought it was wroth telling. I've had a lot of crew members take interest in why I'm filming. It's just a natural thing... You see someone holding a camera for hours on end and they naturally become curious. Well, usually the interaction that then follows that is pretty brief. "Why are you recording nonstop?" "Oh I run an aviation based YouTube channel where I film full flights in 4K from all over the world." "Oh, okay cool." On this flight though, once the crew found out what I was doing, they decided to go above and beyond to help make sure I got the footage I needed to help make PopulAir look as good as possible. I've never had a crew more interested in what I'm doing, and more wiling to help. From the wonderful flight attendant, to the cockpit crew, I've never had a nicer flight crew. For example, the seating on PopulAir is "open." Meaning you just pick whatever seat you want when you board. This was fine, but there was a chance I wasn't going to get a great seat on this flight as it was a through flight. That means the flight originated somewhere else, then stopped in Lycksele to pick up more passengers, before continuing on to Stockholm. So, since I was getting on in Lycksele, there were already going to be 30 passengers on the plane when I boarded. So I had kind of just resigned myself to the fact that that I might not get a great seat. Well, all four of this aircraft's flights all day were operated by the same crew. Which meant I'd already met the flight attendant on my previous flight, and we'd already had a discussion about my channel and what I was doing. We I got off my previous flight in Lycksele, where I was then going to wait a few hours for the plane to come back, the flight attendant pulled me aside and said "hey what seat do you want on the way back, I'll save it for you." And sure even, when I boarded this leg my seat was open with a "reserved" place marker on it. You can see the flight attendant briefly peek his head out of the boarding door as I was boarding. He's a true legend, and probably the best flight attendant I've ever had the pleasure of riding with! Thanks to the entire crew of both PopulAir flights for making this such a special pair of flights!
