UNICEF in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister and Uganda Red Cross facilitated a learning mission where members of the district disaster management committees of disaster prone districts in Western Uganda travelled to Isingiro District to acquire knowledge on timely management and response to emergencies. The activity funded by the Government of Japan, will greatly enhance the capacity of districts to plan for, prepare, mitigate and respond to emergencies.
