Loganair Saab 340 Retirement Flight - Trip Report

As part of their farewell celebrations for the retirement of their Saab 340 aircraft, Loganair operated a small number of celebration flights on the 20th and 21st of January 2024 from Glasgow to....Glasgow!

Come with me as I take my first flight with this uniquely Scottish airline and help them say goodbye to this workhorse aircraft, which has served tirelessly in their fleet for nearly 2 decades.

This flight had some truly excellent narration from Captain Eddie Watt before takeoff, and Loganair's base training captain, Alex Brand during the whole descent and landing.

Eddie has been flying the Saab 340 for 17 years out of his 27 year career with Loganair, with 15,000 hours experience on the type, and 40,000 landings - it was a truly incredible experience to have him at the controls for this flight.

I've added English subtitles to this video in case any parts of the narration from the flight crew is hard to hear on the video.
