黎紫书曾是校园里最沉默的身影，但一位平凡的华文老师在她随性写下的诗与故事里，看见了一个不一样的灵魂。老师从未当众表扬她，却总在本子上留下认真且细致的批改印记。

多年后，她走上了写作之路，回望才懂：那份静默的守候，是她生命中第一位忠实的读者。

她说——人生有时需要一些 “不规矩”。也许只是一位老师的坚持，也许只是一次不放弃的选择，就能在别人心里，种下足以改变命运的种子。

Writer Li Zi Shu was once the quietest student in class — until a Chinese language teacher saw something different in the poems and stories she scribbled down. The teacher never praised her publicly, but always left thoughtful, meticulous notes in the margins of her work.

Years later, as Li embarked on her literary journey, she finally understood — that silent attention had been her first loyal reader.

She says, “Life sometimes needs a touch of defiance.” Perhaps it takes just one teacher’s quiet faith, or one choice not to give up, to plant a seed in someone’s heart that could one day change the course of their life.

成长于女性氛围浓厚的家庭，她深知女性的困境与坚韧，因此作品以女性为轴心，透视社会的隐性暴力与沉默挣扎。《告别的年代》以实验性的叙事回应历史创伤，而《流俗地》则以温情与写实，书写一代人日常中不被看见的幽暗与光亮。

From journalist to novelist, Li Zi Shu has always written with a pen both tender and incisive, capturing the streets, people and silences of Malaysia. Her early years in journalism allowed her to witness the joys and struggles of different social classes up close, giving her characters a vividness that feels as if they live right beside us.

Growing up in a family shaped by strong female voices, she understands both the struggles and resilience of women. Many of her works place women at the centre, revealing the hidden violence and unspoken struggles within society. Gaobie de Niandai (The Age of Farewell) experiments with narrative to confront historical trauma, while Liu Su Di (Flowing Through the Fallow Land) blends warmth and realism to portray the unseen shadows and lights of everyday life.
