Join me in this 25 min ballet leg workout with the pilates ball! This pilates ballet workout is great to do at home as it requires little space to get that beautiful ballerina leg!
This ballet pilates leg workout is designed to tone and strengthen your glutes, thighs and inner thighs to help you build strength while keeping the muscles long and lean, preventing any bulking that may happen when you perform other strengthening exercises such as squats. This workout is great for dancers to improve their ballet leg extensions such as attitude, a la second and arabesque as well as working on turn out for dance. This will improve your lines in ballet class in addition to giving you more strength to feel stable even in simple movements like a plie or tendu.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a pilates ball at home, the leg exercises can be done by sliding your legs on a foam roller or the floor and you can use a cushion to hold under your knee!
This ballerina workout follows an interval pattern of 40 seconds work and 10 seconds rest, including a ballet warm up and stretching cool down. There is also a timer and countdown on screen with a demonstration of the next exercise.
