A Macaroni and Cheese Recipe From 1570

Is Macaroni and Cheese one of your favorite meals. I can tell you it is absolutely one of mine. Any form of macaroni and cheese is good in my book, until I came across this recipe. Bartolomeo Scappi had recipes for macaroni in his "Opera dell'arte del cucinare", and this one was had me worried. Cinnamon, sugar, rosewater, saffron....all things I don't want in my Mac and cheese.....at least that is what I thought.
Hint....I was very wrong!
