Aslam o Alekum dears welcome to my You Tube channel @Ziatutorials In this video lecture you will learn the complete structure of skeleton muscles including sarcomere, actin and myosin filaments.
Here is the description for MDCAT biology worriers
The structure of skeletal muscles includes:
1. Muscle fibers: The basic units of muscles, made up of:
Myofibrils (contractile elements)
Sarcoplasm (cytoplasm)
Sarcoplasmic reticulum (calcium storage)
2. Muscle fascicles: Groups of muscle fibers surrounded by:
Perimysium (connective tissue)
3. Muscle bundles: Collections of muscle fascicles surrounded by:
Epimysium (connective tissue)
4. Tendons: Connect muscles to bones, made of:
Collagen fibers
Elastic fibers
5. Aponeuroses: Flat, broad tendons that attach muscles to bones or other muscles
6. Muscle belly: The main body of the muscle, where contraction occurs
7. Muscle origin: The attachment point of the muscle to a bone or other structure
8. Muscle insertion: The attachment point of the muscle to a bone or other structure, where movement occurs
The skeletal muscle structure allows for:
Muscle contraction and relaxation
Movement and stabilization of joints
Regulation of movement force and speed
Maintenance of posture and balance
