In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to cut out the inside and outside of stamped images using the Brother Scan N’ Cut. For this tutorial, I used the Crafting Forever stamp set by Stampin' Up. I stamped the scissors in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. I used a blade depth of 5. First, I used the Direct Cut feature to cut out the scissors with an outline distance. Then, I left the scissors on the mat and did not remove the mat for the next step. Next, I used Scan to Cut Data feature. I used the second option which saves the inside and outside of the scissors. I selected just the top region of the scissors and saved that region. I saved the file to the Brother ScanNCut and then clicked on the Home button. I selected the Pattern option and retrieved the scissors. I then went into editing mode to remove everything but the inside of the scissors. I zoomed in so that my viewers could see what was saved. After clicking OK, I cut out just the inside of the scissors. At this point, I removed the mat to show my crafty friends the finished product. What may seem like a lot of steps is worth it in the end because your cut images will look professional and you will not need to spend time fussy cutting.
