How To Make Persian Khoresht-e Gheimeh
1 cup yellow split peas, washed and soaked
4 dried persian limes
1 brown onion, finely diced
1kg diced lamb shoulder (leg can also be used)
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1.5 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp mild curry powder
4-5 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp saffron water
3 cups water
1 tbsp rosewater
