In this video, I am painting a warm, textured landscape that makes me dream of hazy, happy summer days. It is a scene that I love coming back to - simple compositions are the best for focusing on honing your brushwork skills, playing with different granulation effects, and experimenting.
You will see how I use a mix of classic techniques and playful experimentation (a new fun way to paint trees!) to build atmosphere, depth, and movement within the scene.
I hope this session gives you plenty of ideas to explore in your own watercolour practice.
