WEIGHT GAIN AFTER 40
Many women struggle with belly fat over the age of 40. And their "go to" move is to workout more and eat less. This will backfire 100% of the time.
Once we hit 40 it becomes about quality, both in the workout and the food we eat.
We need to shift our mindset from wanting to be thin, to wanting to be strong. Funny thing is when train for strength, you get super lean.
Because of the hormonal fluctuations that start around age 40, women need to create stress and stimulation on the body like our hormones used to do. We do this through traditional strength training and nutrition.
We need to lift heavy, lower reps.
We need to incorporate sprint training as our cardio.
We need to focus on our daily activity level, aka step count.
We need to eat high protein and fiber diets.
